Hi, I’m Rachel.

I’m a smART thinker.

Half artist. Half analytic nerd.

Half Artist.

When I’m not working you’ll likely find me at a museum. Why? Well, I’m actually an avid oil painter. I have a BA degree in Fine Arts, and still paint to this day. Art Museums are my church. They get me out of my head for a bit. They always surprise me and give me a much needed creative brain boost.

Half Analytic Nerd

I also have a BA degree in Advertising and am equally fascinated by how art can influence ones’ thoughts and actions. For instance, why do people hate certain films? Love one brand over another? Investigating the ‘whys’ and uncovering the truths behind our choices, preferences and behaviors is one thing that keeps me going.

A role in strategy allows me to embrace both the artist and the nerd.

Some of the company I’ve kept over the past decade:

A Southern girl in Austin…

While I now call Austin, Texas my home, I just returned stateside after living and working in London for a brilliant five years. Born and raised in North Little Rock, Arkansas, I’m a Southern girl at heart. After attending university in Pennsylvania and San Francisco, I built my career in the great city of Chicago at Leo Burnett, Arc Worldwide, and FCB.

My husband Brian and I are excited to be back in the U.S. where we are closer to family and friends. We can’t seem to eat enough tacos and our son Luke is loving having a big backyard all to himself!

…with diverse global experience on award-winning brand campaigns

Over the past 15 years I’ve worked on a wide variety of big brands and retailers (see above). While each experience has groomed me into the planner that I am today, I will never forget the lessons I learned while working on the P&G Always #LikeAGirl campaign.

With a brief about confidence, our team had the germ of an idea for a ‘social experiment’. Little did we know that our online video would go on to win countless awards including a Glass Cannes Lion and an Emmy for Best Commercial in 2014. What a ride! I continue to pull from this experience today, as it proved to be a model for what a fantastic partnership can look like between clients and collaborating agencies. Something I continually strive to replicate on new pieces of business.
